How I can help

Every plan is built around you, your home and the things that matter to you — getting up the stairs, into the garden, or out to the shops.

01

Home assessment

A thorough look at how you move around your home, with practical advice to make everyday tasks safer and easier.

02

Mobility, strength & balance

Gentle, progressive exercises to build strength, improve balance and reduce the risk of falls.

03

After hospital or surgery

Rehabilitation following a hip or knee replacement, fracture, fall or hospital stay — so you can recover with confidence at home.

Caring for a parent?

It's hard when you can't always be there. I'll keep you in the loop — with your parent's permission — so you know how they're getting on and how you can help between visits.

“I treat every patient the way I'd want my own mum or dad to be looked after — with patience, kindness and time to listen.”

Common questions

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. You can contact Katie directly. If you have letters from the hospital or GP, it's helpful to have them to hand.

Which areas do you cover?

Canton and the surrounding areas of Cardiff. Please call if you're unsure — I'll always try to help.

How long is a visit?

The first assessment usually takes about an hour. Follow-up sessions are typically 45 minutes to an hour.

Do I need any special equipment?

No. Treatment uses what's already in your home — a sturdy chair, the stairs, a kitchen counter.

Can a family member be there?

Yes, very much so. Many people find it reassuring to have someone with them, especially at the first visit.
